How can I build an extensions/sew-in-weave clientele? My full weaves are $250 and my strand by strand is $600 and up. My goal is to do four sew-ins a day(Mon - Sat.). As of now,I do one sew in per week which sucks and for the strand by strand i hardly do. Please help me !

    Thank You

    Hi Mary,
Hair weaving is an excellent way of offering change to a client. To expand in this area of hair styling, you must evaluate things including area competition, the types of clients you service and skill and pricing. As a fellow stylist, I believe you should know your worth and charge accordingly, but if you’re tapping into a newer market, offering introductory specials and/or incentives is a great way to start. Clients always love good deals *wink, wink*. When targeting a market, always try have the service you’re marketing visible. Have a before and after photo shoot showcasing the skill. Don’t be afraid to “wear what your sell”. After all, there is nothing wrong with self promotion or finding a client who may be a friend or family member who will show off your techniques and spread the word. You can offer the person a discount in accordance to how many referrals they generate. Lastly, education, education, education. I can not stress the importance of advancing our craft. Time spent putting in a weave is not just enough. Remember, coloring and cutting the extensions to fit the client, lifestyle and personality can take it and you to the next level. I hope some of this information is useful to you. Good luck.
